Craft Nut

A handmade-goods maker with hundreds of personalized products and no storefront. We built a full Shopify theme, a refreshed brand, an event/QR storefront system, and the tooling to bulk-import a roughly 600-SKU catalog.

The problem

Craft Nut makes personalized sublimation crafts — mugs, tumblers, ornaments, wind spinners, event merch — with hundreds of individually photographed products, a hand-rolled SKU system, and no e-commerce presence. They also run pop-up event sales that need their own quick, scannable storefronts.

What we built

A complete storefront, plus the tooling to keep it fed.

  • Shopify storefront. A full custom Online Store 2.0 theme — 18 sections, a slide-in cart, product personalization, and a guided multi-step custom-order wizard that replaces ad-hoc DM requests.
  • A refreshed brand. An "earthy modern" identity — new palette, type system, and a redesigned acorn badge — documented as a design-tokens handoff.
  • Event + QR storefronts. A per-event collection system with event-specific personalization fields and QR codes generated per product, used to launch a real event drop.
  • Catalog tooling. Node scripts driving the Shopify Admin GraphQL API to bulk-create products, variants, and collections from the client's photos via a structured SKU convention — plus AI-generated artwork reconstructed into production-ready flats for the event merch.

Status

Built and staged — the theme is on the client's store and the catalog import is done, with payments and domain handoff in progress. Launching at jtcraftnut.com.
